Mommy's Little Healpers
Some days I feel like I am in a modern day version of Cinderella. Instead of an evil step-mother and step-sisters creating messes, I have three little ones created a new mess everywhere I turn. I do not have the cleanest house on the block and there are days I go to bed with the dishes from dinner still in the sink. I do, however, try my hardest to keep a somewhat tidy home.
Today, I am going to share with you my little helpers. All of the things I am going to mention are my go tos on almost a daily basis.
Baby Wipes.
I am sure every mother can share a long list of things they do with baby wipes. No, they are not just for wiping that questionable, smelly mess in your baby's diaper. There are many different uses for them.
1. Wiping off the table at a restaurant. Yes, I know they clean them...but I also use to be a server when I was younger and I know how gross those wash clothes get.
2. Cleaning your car. No need to purchase special car cleaning wipes. I keep a pack of wipes handy in my car at all times. Your baby threw his bottle and formula got all over the door? No problem! Your son got ketchup on the seat a few weeks ago and you are just now noticing it? Got it! Need to wipe down your dash to make it like new again? Go for it! The list could go on.
3. Boogers. Enough said.
4. Freshen up on a long trip.
5. What is that under my daughter's nails? Let me get a wipe.
Broom.
I know this one sounds a little old school. At the end of the day though, when the kids are all in bed is the only time I really have to get up all those crumbs and dirt tracked in from the day. A vacuum is too load, so a quick sweep does the trick.
WetJet.
Love, love, love! My son is 11 months old and is getting really good at flinging food allover the place. Not to mention my daughter spills just about everything and my dogs track in dirt like crazy. So I use my WetJet just about 3 times a day. I use it for spot cleaning on a daily basis as well as for the whole house on cleaning day.
Oxi Clean.
This stuff is amazing! Like I said above, my 11 month old and food have a special relationship. What ends up on the floor is peanuts compared to what he ends up wearing. So with ever load of laundry I sprinkle this bad boy in before I load up my washer and set my washer to soak before it washes. My days of stained baby clothes have literally disappeared :)
Last, but definitely not least. My Nanny.
A dream for a SAHM is to be able to go to the grocery store and walk the aisles without a screaming child in the cart. So for a few days a week I have my lovely Heather come help me, with everything. Heather helps me with my kids, cleans, cooks, she literally does it all. She helps me so that I am able to go to Doctor appointments, grocery shop, run an errand, and work on my blogging. Luckily for me, I actually love her! She is a great friend as well, so I have the extra added bonus that we laugh and talk about life. I actually call her my wife sometimes. If I was a lesbian, she would be my first pick. LOL.
