Pancakes
Today I woke up so refreshed. My son slept through the night! Woohoo! My son hasn't slept through the night for 11 months until recently. So this is HUGE!!!!!
SO when I woke up this morning I felt like a new woman. I had energy. I wasn't groggy. Don't get me wrong, I still needed my extra large sized coffee. But I felt great!
Then my daughter asked me to make her pancakes for breakfast, and I made them. I actually made breakfast. The home cooked kind. I didn't pour cereal or pop cinnamon rolls out of a can. I sat my daughter up on the counter and we made pancakes together while Brycen sat in his high-chair watching us. I can't remember the last time I made a homemade breakfast for my kids on a school day.
Could this mean what I think it does? Could this mean that the Brooke who LOVED being a SAHM is slowly returning? I am not going to hold my breath, but the possibility is exciting. I even got stuff from the store to make homemade scones tomorrow :)
I still had a little down time this afternoon but this morning was a big one for me. I am kind of proud of myself. I know for some it may not seem like a big deal, but for me it is. I actually didn't dread the day. I didn't wish that I hadn't woken up. I wanted to be a mom! Yay me! lol.
P.S. The pancakes were SUPER yummy ;)
